The traditional end of year venue for the Academy and the circuit that hosted the very first race for the series in 1995. Gerards is a unique, massive right hand hairpin with a fast, but not-quite-flat entry, despite many competitors trying to prove otherwise! Consequently, the gravel trap has seen a lot of Caterhams over the years. A good run through the Esses is essential for a dive into the braking zone of the hairpin.
Caterham Spectator tip:
Get close to the action at the hairpin and watch some desperate moves and a virtually guaranteed spin or two,
or stay on the main banking for a view of Gerards and the finish.
